My new babies: Hit Polish Blueberries and Creme and Whimsical Ideas by Pam's Peanut Butter and Jelly

This blog post does not have a distinct theme like some of the other posts I have done. These are some of the newest polish which I have gotten and some of my favorites, so hope you enjoy!

First off, I wanted to start by showing you my undies. (Not those kind of undies lol... what kind of blogger do you think I am?) These undies.

They are a simple white (Sinful Colors White on White) and a magnificent gray (LynBDesigns Eloquent Dust)

Here's my undies holding the bottle of one of the indie brands that I have wanted for a long time: Whimsical Ideas by Pam!!

Now to show you what this polish is capable of: THIS!

....and this! (Work it polish bottle!) (You go Glen Coco!)(If you get that reference, you get a big ole teddy bear hug from me!)

Here's it is on the nails! I loved putting these two coats on! :)

It was so very easy to put on. Unlike some polishes, the bigger glitters came out without any fuss and spread evenly over the nail. Isn't it beautiful? (Insert montage of people/animals crying here)

Now onto my other polish baby: Hit Polish's Blueberries and Creme!

First off, before I show you the polish, I want to say my favorite colors are blue, blue and blue, so when I got a polish like this one with many speckles of differing shades of blues in them, needless to say, there was no way I was not getting this on my nails as soon as I got the bottle!

I mean just look at it! I challenge you to feel blue when you look at this picture! =]

Here it is again! Isn't it blueberry-licious? (Made up a word!)

In case you didn't get enough of the polish, here's my ring that I am going to make once the ring base comes in!

I hope you loved today's post!

Glitter, Glitter Who's Got Glitter?

I have heard some of your suggestions and the one I wanted to try first was a comparison post. For me, the most of one type of color that I had was glitters in blues and greens.
This is why this post is called......

First off, I wanted to show you all of the polishes that I used in order.

I used Butter London Scallywag....

L.A Colors Aqua Crystals...

L.A. Colors Treasure Island...

Pure Ice Party of Five...

and Daring Digits The Lake.

I took three pictures to show the differences between the polishes. They are in the same order as the pictures I showed above. (Butter London, L.A. Colors, L.A. Colors, Pure Ice and Daring Digits.

If I am being honest, my favorite two were from the teal three, I would have to say it was a tie between Daring Digits and the L.A. Colors. The Daring Digits polish has an amazing glitter that glittered with rainbow colors, whereas the L.A. Colors was more of an overall coverage.
My favorite polish of the blue two was Butter London. Although it's nine dollars compared to L.A. Colors at most three dollars, it does have a far more superior all over coverage and photographs beautifully.

Hope you liked this post! If you have any ideas for new posts, feel free to PM my page or leave me a message in the comments below!

Until next time PoYos,

Mosaic madness by China Glaze

Hey, I know it's been a long time since I last posted but I am going to be better now!
This is my Mosaic Madness by China Glaze post.

Now this was my second ever polish by China Glaze (I know what most of you are thinking, "what?")
It was the first one that I had bought. The other CG was Agro.

I was at Ulta and came across this beauty and, with my love of blue polishes, I had to have it.
Can you understand why? I mean look at it!!

Me with the bottle!!

Now for the bottle shots! I felt like the bottle was getting the VIP treatment with the photo shoot!

Finally, last but certainly not least, the macro shot! There is all this beautiful blue glitter in this polish, and it also came out of the bottle easily (which is always great!)

Anyways, hope you enjoyed this post!
Until next time,

LynBDesigns' Water Works and Haven't a Clue (Picture Heavy)

Guys, I am super duper excited about this! I have the distinct pleasure to introduce some of you to LynBDesigns!!!

I ended up winning my choice of two polishes, so I picked Water Works and Haven't A Clue!

First up is Haven't a Clue, a polish from her Clue collection, inspired by the board game.
Just look at all the different shapes of glitter! It's what really sold me on this polish!

Above the Curve's Fallen Angel

I have been teasing you guys and saying that there would be something special on the blog today, and here it is: Above the Curve's Fallen Angel.
Firstly, I want to give a shout out to Shawn and Angel who are the lovely people behind Above the Curve. They are both amazing people, who give a portion of their proceeds from each polish sale to Shriners Hospital for Children. In my eyes, there should definitely be a lot more people like them in this world, who love what they do and give back to those who need it. I really admire what they are doing :)
Go Angel and Shawn!

Now I am one lucky lucky girl, as I won the first set of trivia contests from Above the Curve Polish's facebook page! I was lucky enough to win my favorite of their polishes too: Fallen Angel! (Did I mention I was lucky?)

Here are my bottle shots.
(Can you see all the prettiness?)

There are so many glitters that change colors in this bottle of nail polish. I was~ and am~ still in awe of this polish and how Shawn and Angel made this to be so amazing!

Since this was a very special polish to me, I figured I must up the mani that I do, and so here is my reverse french manicure with full on Fallen Angel as my thumb accent nail!

(Seriously I can't sing this polish's praises enough!
Every polish-head should have a bottle!)

If you don't have enough proof.... just look at the pictures below!!

Without flash, but you can still see all of the glitters

With flash and even more glitters!!

Hope you enjoyed this blog post!!
If you want to buy this polish, or amazing ones like it or even donate, go visit their Etsy store at http://www.etsy.com/shop/AboveTheCurve

Until next time,

P.S. Remember that at 20 followers on the blog I will be starting my giveaway!

Comparison Butter London's Scallywag and L.A. Colors Blue Glitter

Hey guys! I know I haven't been on since before Christmas. The reason behind this is that 'tis the season for spending time with the family, so that's exactly what I did. Well and finals. Now both of those are over, so yay! On with the nail polish!

Today's post is based on the fact that one of my Christmas presents was Butter London's Scallywag.

It then occurred to me that Butter London's Scallywag and the L.A. Colors Blue Glitter polish look similar.

Thumb is base BL and tip L.A. Index and middle have the
same base coat as well as ring and pinkie. Middle and pinkie
are BL, index and ring are L.A.

If I am being honest, I ended up liking the L.A. Colors a lot better.
  • Reason #1: The L.A. Colors went on a lot smoother than the Butter London. The Butter made my nails feel rough kind of like sandpaper.
  • Reason #2: L.A. Colors had a more dispersed glitter, whereas the Butter London was more concentrated. I am not a big fan of concentrated glitter, but I am sure it would be great for an accent nail.
  • Reason #3: L.A. Colors are generally more cheap polishes in the less than 5 dollar a bottle range, so I would rather spend my money more wisely and find a cheaper alternative than on a more expensive polish.

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed it!

Until next time,
Peace,
Rikya

Winter-y Nails!

So as most Americans are getting ready for thanksgiving, beginning to brine the turkey, and make the appetizers and sides that can be made beforehand, I was painting my nails. I decided since there is only one day before thanksgiving and I plan to have my nails stay this design for a little while, that I would do them snowy style. So here is my snow nails :)

A shot of all of the pretties!
